, received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology before studying Chinese medicine in San Francisco. She completed her Master of Science degree at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (formerly Meiji College of Oriental Medicine) in San Francisco, and received additional training in Seattle, WA and Beijing, China. She was fortunate to apprentice with several well-known practitioners while studying and practicing in San Francisco.
Selena also worked as Editor in Chief for the California Journal of Oriental Medicine, and served on the Board of Acupuncturists for the California State Oriental Medical Association.
In 1999, inspired by the need for Chinese medicine in the Central Valley, she moved to Fresno, and formed the Quan Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine Clinic (formerly known as the Tower Clinic).
